Day 2: Favourite Concealer

This is will be a challenge for me, I am not good at posting every day, but I am going to do my absolute best to do so, I promise! It’s going to be a quick post about my favourite concealer because I actually did a full review on this product a month or two ago. So, with that being said, my fave concealer is Maybelline Master Conceal. This is from their Facestudio line.

photo 1 (15)The concealer comes in 5 different shades retailing for $8.99 each, give or take a few, depending where you buy it from. I got this in the shade Fair because I am insanely pale right now LOL. This is my favourite concealer from Maybelline, besides the Fit me, and from any drug store brand. I actually use both this concealer and the Fit me together in order to hide my undereye circles a bit more (I have been a bit exhausted lately).

I love this concealer because it is the only one that provides me with a full coverage without creasing. I could almost use this alone as a foundation as it does an amazing job hiding my dark circles, redness and blemishes. It is very long lasting and stays on until I have to take it off. I have never used a high-end concealer before, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I read a lot of reviews from other bloggers saying this was better than Mac’s Pro Longwear concealer. As well, the shade matches my skin perfectly. It comes out a little darker, but as soon as I blend it in, it matches my skin tone.

I am really glad that it doesn’t have a pink undertone to it and it is more natural than most concealers I have used. If any of you are interested, you can read my full review here. My opinions are a little bit different as I have used it for a bit longer and was able to find a technique to make it last longer.

Until tomorrow, enjoy!

  1. Funny because I was JUST looking at this concealer yesterday at Target and came thisclose to picking it up! I’m a longtime user of Smashbox HD concealer, which I love, but it’s not cheap. I may have to try this out, as I have extremely dark circles and some uneven skin tone.

  2. Good luck with posting daily! I am trying to post more as well but it’s not as easy as it seems!

What do you use for your skincare regimen? Nerium works wonders for dark circles, redness, blemishes and even undereye circles (I had that issue so bad!). I don’t use ANY face/skin make up anymore (just eyes and lips). If you’re interested in trying it, here’s the product page and I am happy to answer any questions! Let me know if you’d like to try some samples and I can mail them out to ya! 🙂

    • Thank you! It is so difficult when life is just busy in general and there is no time to make a post. I tried doing scheduled posts, but I had no time to actually create a ton in advance haha. My skincare regimen right now consists of using The Body Shop products…facial mask, toner and then Marcelle makeup remover. I have never heard of Nerium before. I would definitely love to try some samples out and see how it works for my skin.

  3. I was so excited to try this but it doesn’t provide enough coverage under my eyes, and I tried it to conceal redness around my nose / chin and it doesn’t have very good lasting power. A lot of people seem to love it though… What’s your technique to make it last longer? For under eyes I’m sticking to the Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser, and for redness I like Revlon PhotoReady.

    • That’s exactly why I was so iffy with it when I first started using it. It seemed like it would just completely come off after a few hours. Now, I do my primer, I put on the fit me concealer, foundation, then the facestudio concealer…set it with powder and the very last thing I use is my setting spray. It’s a lot of product on my face, but it absolutely works. I found that it will last all day without any touch ups. I have always wanted to try the Age Rewind Eraser but never looked into any reviews…I am that person that reviews everything before buying haha
