Review: Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation

Hey Everyone!

Today’s review is all about Rimmel’s Clean Finish Foundation. I have used this a couple times a few years ago and loved it. So, I thought I would give it another shot and see how it works for me now.

Keep reading to find out more about the foundation!

What is it?

I always find it funny that I start off my reviews with what it is exactly when I’ve mentioned it a couple times already. Anyways, it is a foundation that contains Vitamin A & E. The description on the back says it is lightweight, poreless and fragrance-free which is an A+ in my books.

Rimmel Foundation

The website says that it comes in 8 different shades and depending on where you purchase it from, it ranges from $5-9 CDN.

What I Love About It

The applicator is amazing on this! It’s formed like a spatula which makes it very easy to apply to the skin. The blending is great, I can get my whole face blended within a couple of minutes. I would say it gives a medium coverage with it covering up most of my imperfections. The skin looks flawless and clean, as it said it would be.

What I Hate About It

When this foundation sets, it oxidizes on my skin like crazy! It makes me look so orange to the point that it looks like I am wearing the wrong foundation shade. On top of the oxidization, it gets very patchy where some parts are light and other parts are orange. It creases everywhere, especially around my mouth and nose.

I love this foundation so much, but the oxidization is the worst I have seen from any brand. I don’t remember it being like this in the past, but I could be wrong. I wish Rimmel would do something different about it, as I can’t see myself buying this again.

As you can see from the swatches, the difference between the shades is incredible! I can’t believe I have been using this and never noticed it (I should look into a mirror more often ;)).

So, as you might have guessed, I do not recommend this foundation to anyone. The con about it rules out all the pros it has. As I said above, if Rimmel fixed the oxidizing part, I would be buying this product over and over again.

Leave a comment down below if you have tried this out. Did it leave you looking orange as well?
