Books Waiting To Be Read | 2018

Hey Everyone!

This post is a little different than my normal beauty posts, actually, a lot different. If you have followed this blog for awhile then you know that I love books. I love reading them, collecting them, finding a great steal, but most importantly, adding books to my “To Be Read” list.

I’m not even joking when I say I have at least 100 books waiting to be read. My Goodreads list is never ending and my Kobo has so many books just waiting as well. However, this post is strictly going to be about my “physical” books that I have accumulated. I don’t have many, maybe 10, but they have been sitting around for a good year. When we moved, I didn’t realize that I put them all in a box, so I was subconsciously thinking I needed to read them.

Anyways, enough of me rambling, here is my TBR list!

The Best Kind of People by Zoe Whittall

First off, excuse the stock photos that I am using. I honestly was too lazy to take pictures of the books and this was just easier to do. I hate using stock photos, but it’s better than not having any.

If I am being completely honest, I actually don’t know what this book is about. I received this as gift and was told I would really like it. I have never received books as gifts before because I am so picky when it comes to them. I go between Kobo and Goodreads like it’s my day job, making sure I find the perfect book to read. That’s honestly why I never read as much as I would like…I’m too picky!

This book will definitely be the first one for me to read. I am planning on taking it on vacation with me in 2 weeks (Vegas, baby!), so hopefully I will get some reading done on the plane. I haven’t even read the description for this book, so I am going in blind with this one.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

This book is right up my alley! I am a sucker for a good romance book and this book was recommended for me to read many times. From my understanding, it’s about two people (co-workers, I believe) who have such hate for each other. However, they soon realize the hate they have for each other isn’t really hate, it might be something else. Hmmm…

Again, I bought it on a whim and based of load of recommendations, so didn’t really get to do all the research that I wanted to do. Now that I’m thinking of it, this whole list is me buying books based off recommendations, so don’t expect too many explanations going forward πŸ™‚

The Professional by Kresley Cole

I have no idea why I even bought this book! The summary doesn’t even appeal to me! I think the only reason I bought this was because it was on sale and I was desperate for a new book. Stay tuned for this review…

Rule by Jay Crownover

This book was bought at the same time as the one above. This one spoke to me a bit more than the other one. I believe it’s a New Adult/Romance novel, so I have a feeling I will like this one.

Seven Years to Sin by Sylvia Day

I love Sylvia Day books! They are a bit different and can be a bit dark, you could say. This one definitely feels dark and I think it’s going to take me down a road that I haven’t traveled down before. I am excited to read this one and I will let you know what I think! Again, this one was bought with the other 2 up above.

What She Knew by Gilly Macmillan

This book was very popular last year and it was on everybody’s TBR list. I bought it among the hype and never got around to reading it. This novel is definitely a thriller/suspense, so I am excited to get lost in this book.

The 3rd Woman by Jonathan Freedland

The next two books that I am going to share with you are books that I bought when I had a little too much to drink and decided to do some online shopping. I have no idea why I bought them, what they are about or how I had any interest in them, but hey, here we are.

This book says it’s a thriller on the cover, so I am assuming that is why I purchased it, as I have a big love for thrillers. Either than that, I am going into this book blind and hoping that I will love it.

An Accidental Affair by Eric Jerome Dickey

This is the second book I bought in my drunken online shopping and I clearly wanted a certain type of book. That is all I can say about that…I will let you know how I feel about this one.

Into The Water by Paula Hawkins

Last but not least, this book. I have heard good and bad things about this book. My sister actually read it before me and told me she didn’t like it because it was so confusing. I wasn’t going to read it, but I want to know more and why people felt the way they did about it. My sister read it during the whole week when we were Dominican and said it was hard to get through, so bear with me when I read this one.

That is all for my “physical” books on my TBR list. I know it’s not many, but I don’t really buy books anymore. I have turned into that person who uses their Kobo all the time, which I didn’t see coming.

Let me know if you have read any of these books and if you have, were any of them good? HaHa

I will being doing an end-of-month book review every single month, so cross your fingers a few of these will be on there. In the meantime, thank you for reading and please leave a comment of books that you would recommend to me. This could be a great way of me being less picky when it comes to books, who knows.
