Burt’s Bees Makeup

Hey Everyone!

I was fortunate enough to get this Burt’s Bees box sent to me from Topbox Circle Burt’s Bees. I have never tried any of their makeup before, but their skincare is highly raved about and their lip balm is my favourite.

I haven’t tested any of the makeup yet, but I wanted to share the products and pictures with you. I will do a full review on everything once it has thoroughly been used.

If you are interested, keep reading!

In this box, I received 8 products that produce a full face of makeup. The items include:

  • Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation in Ivory
  • Brow Pencil in Brunette
  • Nourishing Eyeliner in Soft Black
  • Nourishing Mascara in Classic Black
  • Trio Eyeshadow in Shimmering Nudes
  • Blush in Bare Peach
  • Mattifying Powder Foundation in Bare
  • Glossy Lipstick in Peony Dew

Burt's Bees Full Products

I knew for the most part what I would be receiving so the shades would match my skin tone. The powder foundation and the blush are at the top of my list to try out.

Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation ($19.99)

I received this foundation in the shade Ivory. Thankfully, I went up a shade, as I already have a tan started. The foundation has an all-day coverage formula and provides a natural-looking finish without it being heavy or cakey (THANK YOU!). It’s made with Meadowfoam Seed oil which is known for its moisturizing benefits. All information I am providing you is from the booklet they sent with the products.

Burt's Bees Face Products

I am interested to see how this compares to other foundations I love. I’m all about the natural look, so don’t be surprised if this is the first review I have up. The foundation is available in 12 shades and it’s 98.9% natural.

Mattifying Powder Foundation ($17.99)

This product I received in the shade Bare. It’s a lightweight shine control formula with buildable coverage. It’s meant to blur imperfections and give the look of smooth, even skin. It absorbs oil without drying out the skin.

I have never tried a powder foundation before and I love that this is buildable. This foundation comes in 6 shades and it’s 100% natural.

Blush ($14.99)

Ugh, this blush is so pretty! I received it in the shade Bare Peach. Its right up my alley and I love how pigmented yet subtle it looks from the swatch. The lightweight formula is created with Bamboo, Honey and Vitamin E which will nourish your skin and enhance your natural glow.

The blush comes in 3 shades and it’s 100% natural.

Glossy Lipstick ($9.99)

The shade I got is in Peony Dew. When I first saw the product, I didn’t think I would wear it, but I didn’t realize that it was a gloss, so not as pigmented. The glossy lipstick is described to nourish and hydrate the lips while giving a shiny, moisture-rich colour.

I really love the feel of it and I can make it as pigmented as I want. The lipstick contains Raspberry Seed Oil, Moringa Oil and Community Sourced Beeswax. It comes in 6 shades and it’s 100% natural.

Eyeshadow Trio ($12.99)

I received the trio in the shade Shimmering Nudes. The other trios look just as gorgeous, but I tend to stick to shadows that I know I will wear. This trio is no exception. From the description, it says the trios are easy-to-blend, long-lasting and they resist creasing, fading and smudging.

The shadows are made with Bamboo, Honey and Vitamin E providing nourishment to the skin. The trio comes in 4 different trios and it’s 100% natural.

Nourishing Mascara ($13.99)

I received the mascara in Classic Black. The mascara is made with Jojoba Oil and naturally moisturizing Glycerin that nourishes the lashes and is gentle enough for the eye area.

I’m curious to try this, as I have been having some inflammation around my eyes which I am starting to think is from my makeup. With it being 100% natural, I’m hoping this makes a difference for my lashes.

The mascara comes in 2 shades and as I said, it’s 100% natural.

Eyebrow Pencil ($12.99)

I received this in the shade Brunette. I’m not a big brow pencil person, but I am definitely willing to give this a chance. The pencil is made with Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter. It’s a long-lasting formula and gentle enough for the eye area.

This product is available in 2 shades and it’s 99.9% natural.

Nourishing Eyeliner ($12.99)

Last, but not least, I received this eyeliner in the shade Soft Black. It’s a fade-resistant colour that nourishes, defines and enhances the eyes. It’s made with Jojoba, Mango and Meadowfoam Seed Oils that help with the nourishment of the skin.

I know I will be using this a lot, as eyeliner is one of my go-to products. The liner comes in 3 shades and it’s 99.9% natural.

Overall, I am so excited to try out all the products. Burt’s Bees prides itself in being natural and to provide makeup that will enhance the beauty you already have. I love their campaign and I can fully get behind their message.

This package couldn’t have come at a better time, as I have been experiencing reactions and breakouts to both skincare & makeup products. Going natural is something I have been thinking about for a long time, but just didn’t know where to start. Well, this is definitely a great start.

Let me know if you have tried any of their makeup or even their skincare. Do you have a favourite product?

Thanks for reading!

  1. Great post! I also shared a review of this makeup a while ago over on my blog. I didn’t mind the foundation, but the mascara burned my eyes both times I used it, so I stopped using it. I hope you have better results with it!!
