Review: Maybelline Burgundy Bar Palette

It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? It was never my intention to take a break, but my computer decided it didn’t want to work anymore and I don’t love posting from my phone, so my blog took a back seat until I was able to get my computer fixed. I have tried my best to keep up with all of your posts and I have been very active on Instagram trying to keep up as well. Even though you haven’t seen new content, I am still very active in the blogging world.

Anyways, back to what this post is about. I know you have seen this palette being raved about in the beauty world and every single person has reviewed it. I still want to upload my review because everybody has a different opinion and I can do what I want haha.

What is it?

The product is an eyeshadow palette that consists of 12 shades featuring both matte and metallic shadows. The brand has said that this palette has a crease and fade-resistant formula.

The palette retails for $11.96 CDN (walmart.ca). Of course, the price varies depending on where you buy it from.

The Shadows

As I mentioned above, the palette consists of 12 different shades. There are more metallic shades than matte, which I personally love. The shades are so different than any other drugstore palette, which is what made me fall in love with it.

Both photos of the swatches have no filters and it’s all natural lighting.

Overall Thoughts

I would be lying if I said I didn’t like this palette. I honestly believe it’s the best drugstore eyeshadow palette out there. The pigmentation is insane, as you can see from the photos above. I love that there is a variety of shades to create both glam and natural looks.

I have received many compliments with this palette, as it has such a vibrancy to it. I have had no issues with fading or creasing, as it stays on all day. Blending is super easy and there is fallout, but I expect that with a palette that has pigmentation like this one does.

Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this. I have reached for this over and over for the last month or so and it impresses me each time I use it. If you don’t already own this, I recommend you buy it ASAP. You won’t be disappointed.
