As you can see, this post is going to be about my favourite dry shampoos. I don’t use too many hair products, but enough that I have a general idea of what works for me and what I need to stay away from.
Dry shampoo is one of my favourite products ever and my saviour for many mornings when I am too tired aka lazy to shower or style my hair. I have narrowed it down to 3 drugstore products that I love.
If you are like me and need a good dry shampoo, keep on reading!
Batiste Dry Shampoo for Dark & Deep Brown Hair Colour
When I first started using dry shampoo, Batiste was the first one I ever heard of. Back then, it was just the original one, but I didn’t love it completely, as it left a white residue in my hair which seemed impossible to get out. Thankfully, I came across their product for dark hair and it changed my hair for the better.
This one is honestly so good for my brunette ladies. It keeps your hair from looking white and it provides great volume. I also find that it intensifies my hair colour! This dry shampoo has been the best, in my opinion, for those with dark hair.
This retails for $9.72 at Walmart.
L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo
L’Oreal has been a favourite of mine when it comes to skincare and haircare. It’s inexpensive, for the most part, and the products actually show results. When they came out with this hair care line, I was ecstatic! The clay line is meant for people with dry ends and oily roots, so my only hope was that they would create a dry shampoo and sure enough, my dreams came true.
Hands down, this dry shampoo is the best for people who have oily roots. It’s different than Batiste as this one actually caters to hair types with oily roots. I find that my hair stays fresher almost all day long compared to others. I don’t do any touchups throughout the day, as the volume stays put. It also doesn’t have any residue at all! I have gone through bottles upon bottles of this brand and have not seen any residue, so it’s pretty damn good.
This retails for $6.76 at Walmart.
Dove Refresh + Care Volume Dry Shampoo
This one honestly surprised me. I bought this on a whim, as I was in desperate need of one and it was the cheapest option for me from a brand that I really do love. I was hesitant about it, as some people told me they didn’t have the best results with it. From my understanding though, I believe there are 3 or 4 different kinds of dry shampoo that Dove offers, but I decided to get the one that promotes volume. Can you tell that I don’t like my hair being flat?
Yes, the price is pretty inexpensive compared to the others, but it definitely does not lack in results! Just like the others, it keeps my hair looking fresh like I am still on day 1 and not day 4 (hair is being washed tonight ha). It does have a little bit of residue, but I find it to be pretty easy to get out. I definitely have a soft spot for this one and I might be reaching for it a bit more, as it does such a good job making my hair look like I have so much volume all day long.
This retails for $3.47 (currently on sale) at Walmart.
I try to use drugstore products when it comes to dry shampoo as I honestly go through so many bottles of it. If you have any recommendations for high-end products that I should try, leave a comment down below.
