Hey Everyone!
Happy Monday (hopefully, most of you have it off!). Before I get into this review, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has commented on my last post. It is AMAZING to see different bloggers share their work and for all of us to support each other. It doesn’t happen as often anymore, so please feel free to keep commenting and sharing your posts 🙂
Now back to this post! This is going to be a quick one, as I have already discussed it in my skincare routine post and I mentioned how much I really love it. However, I did want to do a more in-depth look into it and why it’s a must purchase.
If you are interested, keep on reading!
What is it?
This product is a moisturizer that is made up of Natural Moisturizing Factors that keep the outer layer of the skin well hydrated. Their website states the NMF are:
multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, saccharides, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid and many other compounds that are naturally present in the skin.
When it comes to skincare, I don’t know a whole lot, like other people do. So, when I buy something, I make sure to read reviews on products beforehand. I am slowly learning about the skincare world, so bear with me as I do me best 🙂
Price Point
The reason this company (Deciem) is so well-loved, besides how well their products perform, is the price that they sell their products at. You can get a full skincare routine for under $30 CDN.
This moisturizer is just as inexpensive, coming in at $6.80.
When To Use It
I use this product at the very end of my skincare routine. I find that I get the best results right after I use my toner, as it soaks into the skin a bit more and provides that extra hydration.
Why I Love It!
When I first got this, I was a bit hesitant, as I didn’t understand how a product at this price could be so good. I used it a couple times and didn’t really notice a big difference, but I kept going with this one.
After a week, I started to notice why everyone loved it. The texture and dehydration my skin was dealing was, started to go away. My problem areas were in fact less problematic and with that, I jumped for joy!
The best thing about this moisturizer is that it doesn’t feel oily after applying, which has been a big issue of mine with other products. My skin is slowly becoming the skin I want and even my Husband is noticing a difference 🙂
I realize that this product is not for everyone, as some people who deal with dry skin year round, don’t find this to make a difference. I can see why this product wouldn’t work for them, but if you deal with mild to moderate dry skin, definitely try this out. It’s inexpensive and it does a really good job.
Please let me know if you have tried any products from The Ordinary or if you have tried this product.
Thanks for reading!

I’ve been really wanting to try this brand but we have limited products available in Australia. I’m also a newbie at skincare, I have super dry skin now that I’ve got a good cleanser and toner that seem to be working I can get away with products like this one year round 🎉 if I see it available here, you’ve convinced me, I’ll give it a try x

Also just wanted to add, apparently the reason the price point is so low is because they don’t invest a lot in advertising and/or packaging. It’s as basic as they can make it so that they can keep the cost down for consumers. Don’t know how much of that is true but that is what I’ve read x

Thanks for adding that little bit of information, I was also curious x

I did some more reading about this last night and the same info came up for me. It’s great that they can focus solely on the product and provide a minimalist approach to the packaging. Yeah, packaging can be pretty and whatnot but I rather them focus on the products to give the consumer the results they want. The price point may be low but the products are speaking for themselves as people are swearing by their products (including myself).
Thanks for pointing that info out to me and I hope you can get your hands on some of these products 🙂

I haven’t tried anything in this line. It’s so cheap that I can’t even imagine what it must cost them to produce it. So, I honestly never wanted to try it. =(

I didn’t even think about it that way…

I always get nervous. If something is over-priced, red flag. But then under-priced, is a red flag too. Because then I start questioning quality. They have to make a profit too so if something is really inexpensive, I get nervous and shy away.
