20 Beauty Questions

I found this tag and I really have been wanting to do it for a while. I believed I got tagged in this as well, but I honestly forget, sorry! Anyways, like always, feel free to take this 🙂

Do you remember your first makeup item?
My first makeup item was the lip smackers lip gloss. They had so many different flavours, like coca-cola or root beer. Those were my fave! But my actual first item was mascara from covergirl! I don’t remember which one though.

Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?
No clumping. Has a brush that is perfect for length and volume. No smudging!

What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?
I love medium to full coverage. It has to be lightweight though because I hate the feeling of cakey makeup on my face.

Favorite high-end brand?
Benefit and Urban Decay, obviously!
What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t?
YSL, Dior, Laura Mercier, NARS and Tarte.

Favorite drugstore brand?
Maybelline and NYX.

Do you wear fake eyelashes?
I barely do because I am horrible with putting them on. I have so many but I just don’t have the time to apply them.

Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without?
There’s a few products I can’t leave the house without. Foundation, concealer, mascara and eyeliner are a must. Sometimes bronzer.

What is your most cherished beauty product?
I really love my Kat Von D shade & light contour palette. It is my must have. Of course, my naked 2 palette is my fave because it was the first high-end product I bought.

How often do you shop for makeup?
I used to go a few times a week, so bad. I don’t do much shopping anymore because I am content with what I have and I used to shop at Target and now there is no more Target in Canada.

Do you have a “beauty budget” or you spend freely?
I used to spend freely, but now I have a budget. I will only buy when I need to replenish my supply.

What type of product do you buy the most of?
Mascaras and eyeshadows, blaaah so bad.

Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates?
I try my best, but I really buy products that I like. I should look more at the ingredients.

Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup?
Obviously Sephora. Recently, just Walmart because there isn’t any other place in my city to buy makeup. Also, I love Shopper’s Drug Mart because they have a great point system.

Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?
I try to keep a routine because the more I try new skincare products, the more I break out. I like to stick to what I know.

Favorite bath and body brand?
The Body Shop, hands down!

Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?
Honestly, no. They don’t always work well for both areas of the face. I rather pay more for separate products.

Are you clumsy in putting makeup?
Yes! Especially when I am in a rush. I just don’t have time to be a perfectionist.

Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?
Probably not, YouTube and blogs have been super helpful to me lately.

What do you love about makeup?
I feel confident when wearing makeup. I love the never ending supply and ideas for makeup. Makeup accentuates what we already have so it is fun to play with our beauty.

I hope you all enjoyed this! 🙂

  2. Love this tag! And oh my gosh lip smackers!! I remember trying to collect all the ones with the glittery packaging. Unfortunately most of them ended up in the bottom of my school bag never to return.

    • hahah lipsmackers were the best! I guess I knew I would be a makeup addict when I was older because I collected them like no one’s business. I don’t think products are meant to be for multi use, they work better for just one area of the face. I am glad you feel the same way 🙂
